Networking and staying up to do date with the travel industry via seminars, events and webinars is key when you want to launch your own business. Women should not be afraid to try something new and to be sure to learn something from everyone they encounter.
Networking and staying up to do date with the travel industry via seminars, events and webinars is key when you want to launch your own business. Women should not be afraid to try something new and to be sure to learn something from everyone they encounter.

How does SKAL empower women and help them develop their own business?
SKAL San Francisco is a fantastic organization to empower women through networking and mentoring. The club offers an open forum for new ideas and members are kind and considerate for their fellow skalleagues.
SKAL San Francisco is a fantastic organization to empower women through networking and mentoring. The club offers an open forum for new ideas and members are kind and considerate for their fellow skalleagues.
SKAL SF consistently fundraises and donates to worthy causes that remind us we are all connected at some level. Whether it is the fires in Australia, hurricanes in Puerto Rico or maintaining active and current engagement with Tourism Cares I find these fundraisers and donations to be one of the most valuable and inspiring highlights of SKAL SF. Sharing a global footprint in a positive manner and connection is important moving forward with SKAL San Francisco. Monthly speakers promoting inclusivity and a focus on meaningful and transformative travel is of particular interest to me and I am grateful for the excellent speakers SF SKAL has had at our virtual meetings. While there is no shortage of problems today and a vibrant city like San Francisco has its fair share of them, I find our monthly meetings and speakers to be inspiring for how to move forward with Tourism and put our best foot forward together. SKAL!

Christina is focused on crafting unique travel experiences for a wide range of destinations. In 2020, Christina launched Travel Tuesdays on Instagram Live with Andrey Zakharenko in order to update clients and followers on travel news during the pandemic. Most recently, she co-founded My World to Travel (MWTT) with Andrey and Katya Zakharenko as a boutique consultancy aimed at transformative travel experiences. MWTT offers travel to unique destinations that go beyond average luxury to make an impact in the world.

Whether it is "adopting" coral with Coral Gardeners to help rebuild damaged reefs and maintain local biodiversity or connecting artists, dancers and chefs with her clients, her connections are invaluable.
