SKAL International San Francisco was honored to induct Sebastien Pfeiffer as our newest member at its regular meeting last Thursday, March 3rd at the famed San Francisco restaurant Fior d’Italia.

Mr. Pfeiffer is Managing Director of the historic Sir Francis Drake Hotel, soon to be renamed the Beacon Grand and has held that position since August 2021.

Sebastien has a most impressive background in the culinary and hotel operations fields. Some recent highlights include the position of General Manager of the Charter Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton in Seattle and GM of the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile.

Mr. Pfeiffer is from Strasbourg in the Alsace region of France and early in his career, was Chef de Partie at the Hotel Negresco in Nice. He was also Chef de Partie at the 3 Michelin Star Restaurant Buerehiesel in France and Chef de Cuisine at the White Barn in Kennebunkport, Maine as well as Executive Chef at the Sofitel Los Angeles.
